Omg...today was so exciting. In a way it's sad but I still thought it was the highlight of my day. It was supposed to be my day off, but they wanted me to come in cuz someone called in sick. Usually I'd so no, but for some reason I said yes. It's a long story. When I got to work, I was like "Oh man, I wish I would've stayed home instead". Stupid Jackie (one of the assistant managers) was getting on my nerves. The day went by as it normally would. Then all of a sudden, Terry( a co-worker) walks through the middle aisle with all these men around him yelling and shouting something..he sounded pretty pissed. I lost sight of them but then everyone hears this big comotion. Im like "Whoa...what the heck is going on?". One of my co workers told me that Terry knocked down some stuff off the shelf. To make a long story short... Terry was caught by the undercover loss provention people. They were taking him to the back to talk to the district manager aswell as security. They had him back there for quite some time. As we were closing, Terry somehow got away from them and was heading towards the front door. It was locked. While he was fiddling with the locks trying to get them to open, one of the security guards got him. Man..it was so unreal. Everything seemed like a scene from a movie or tv show...ya know like the show Cops. Even though stealing is wrong...I felt bad for Terry especially with the way they were handling him. Later, they made us clock out and decided to have a five minute meeting. The district manager was yapping..blah blah...basically he just didnt want us to tell the other co workers what happened. Fat chance. I know for a fact everyone is going to be talking about this whole incident.
